Breaking News: Canada Increases Proof of Funds Requirement for Study Permits

🚨 Starting September 1, 2025, international students applying for a Canadian study permit will need to show higher proof of funds (POF) to cover living expenses.

Key Changes

✅ Single Applicants: $22,895 CAD (up from $20,635)

✅ Applies to new study permit applications submitted on or after Sep 1, 2025

Why the Increase?

This adjustment reflects rising living costs in Canada. The last major update was in January 2024, when the requirement doubled from $10,000 to $20,635.
